Years ago, on a small island off the coast of Scotland, I went on a wonderful writing retreat organised by Patricia Lee-Lewis. On the first day I met someone who has been a dear friend and writing buddy since: Heather Reed. A few years later, at Eater, I went to stay in her home in Westport, Massachusetts and she took me to her local bookstore, a lovely independent bookshop called Partners Village Store. I sat there and wrote, drank coffee and ate some delicious blueberry muffins. Now I’m living in the US and am a published author – so what could be more wonderful than returning to that small town and that lovely bookstore to give a reading of my latest novel, Wishbones? I do hope that you can join me.
